Method
- Line a baking sheet or large plate with parchment paper. Measure all ingredients before starting.
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until dissolved and bubbling.
- Stop stirring and cook for 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from heat and quickly stir in butter, vanilla, and baking soda.
- Stir in pecans immediately.
- Pour onto prepared surface and spread thin.
- Sprinkle with sea salt.
- Cool for 15 to 20 minutes, then break into pieces.
Notes
Make sure to work quickly when mixing in the pecans and pouring onto the surface to ensure a perfect texture.
